Adventure Day 2 - Monday, 2/23/08
I have wished on occasion that the Lord would show Himself to me more clearly. Always having to live by faith seems more difficult than if just every once in a while the Lord showed Himself more plainly. Take a moment to read Daniel 10:1-21.

A passage like this causes me to back away from that wish. Do you think you would live through an experience like the one described in this passage? Why or why not? If righteous Daniel was so overwhelmed that he had no strength, his face turned pale and he felt helpless, I’m not so sure any of us would survive such an encounter. Anyway, this is Adventure Day 2 of 50, and we are getting an early taste of apocalyptic literature. That’s in anticipation of next Sunday, when I will be preaching from the key text of this Adventure, Revelation chapter 13.

Reread Daniel 10:19, and consider how the Lord may want to strengthen you for the work he has for you today. May the promise of this verse be yours! Peace....
