Adventure Day 3 - 2/24/09

Hello Fellow Adventurers...

We are involved in something quite out of the ordinary. A good percentage of our church family has chosen to be actively involved in our 50-Day Spiritual Adventure. We even ran out of the 50 Day Adventure Journals at the Church Office (but we'll have more available by this coming Sunday). Welcome to a season of shared accelerated, measurable and lasting spiritual growth.

This is Day 3 of 50, and we are learning to get our minds around some of the rare apocalyptic writings in the Bible. That word apocalypse means an uncovering or revelation of "things to come." They represent a literary genre/style that we are not much accustomed to as modern readers, so don't be surprised if they appear strange to you. Today's apocalyptic passage is Daniel chapter 8. How would you like to see what's described there "on video," eh? Watch for the name of the heavenly messenger that describes the vision to Daniel...where else does he appear in Scripture....remember?
