Adventure Day 24 - 3/17/09

Hello Adventurers....

Today the suggested text is Revelation 6:1-17, a chapter about the incredible destructive forces that will precede the coming Day of the Lord. It presents a chilling scene both of God's wrath and human violence. My, there's a lot of action in those verses! And what a desperate question at the chapter's conclusion.... "Who can stand when facing the wrath of God and the Lamb?" By the way, the Apostle John answers that question in the next chapter (Revelation 7:9ff)...when he sees multitudes "stand by grace" before the throne of God.

Isn't it interesting how we often are led to think how wonderful it will be, that Day when the Lord returns? Perhaps it would do us all well to remember how terrible it will actually be for those who are not ready.

Today, pray for those individuals you have placed, by God's leading, on your "Bringing My World to Christ" list. Today's Scripture reading helps us begin to understand just how significant such a list can be.
