Adventure Day 31 - 3/24/09

Today's Adventure Bible Reading is about Paul and Silas, and their earth shaking (literally!) prayer meeting in a Philippian jail
[Read Acts 16:16-40]. Bold praying - prayer that breaks chains of bondage - is another key characteristic of a revived church.

Take a moment to think about this...of all the people you know, who do you believe to be strongest in his or her prayer life? What might this person have to teach you? What's good about your prayer life...what's not so good? How would you evaluate our church regarding its practice of prayer?

Last Sunday, I sought in my message to help us picture what revival looks like when it touches a local church. I asked that we each pray daily during this week for revival. Today, would you join with me in praying for a deeper prayer culture to strengthen in our fellowship?

This coming Sunday, my topic will be personal revival. This could be the focal point moment of our 50-Day Spiritual Adventure, for revival in the church will never happen without it first touching individual lives. Will you pray with me for our services Sunday, and for openness to this call for individual and family spiritual renewal?

Lord, light the fire...and fan the flames!

God's Peace...
Pastor Paul
